A few of the blogs I read have had recent postings about resolutions for the new year, so I wanted to make sure I got my two cents in. I'm not a big resolution person because I think you make change when you want to or need to, not when there's a certain date on the calendar. (I even say that I go to the gym semi-regularly so that I can avoid needing to make that a resolution.) I also think that resolutions tend to be big, insurmountable things to do or they make us focus on bad things that need changing. I just don't like starting out the year that way. It must be a good year for resolutions because Read Your World and The Nielsen Zoo both have great resolutions for 2010. So, to add to the list, here's mine:
I'm going to see a movie with my mom once a month this year. We're going to try to go to the theater, but if things get really tight, we're going to rent a new release on DVD. We both love the movies, but it seems to be the one thing that we never do. So far, we're doing great. We saw The Blind Side a few weeks ago and thoroughly loved it.
