To add to my incredible week of free stuff, our neighbor gave us about 30 hosta plans for our yard. My mother-in-law helped me plant them and they are a lovely addition to our yard. I can't wait until they are really growing and thriving.
Derek and my father-in-law have been working dutifully on our deck. They are both handy and seem to be able to build or create anything they want to. This is the first deck for both of them, though. I think they're doing such good work that they could hire themselves out as deck builders, but I think the work has ended up being pretty tough, so I'm not sure they want to.
