After reading Steph's post about needing to get her closet in order for the New Year, I realized that I, too, need to get several things in order. Since I'm wearing maternity clothes right now, my sad closet is a little bit of a moot point. However, it's been almost six months since I got a hair cut and a lot of my makeup is simply "good enough."
So yesterday I decided to go out, find a place to get a good haircut and fix my makeup a little. I drove around a little after dropping Elsa off at daycare and finally found a place that was open and could take me then. I told the woman what I like and hate about my hair and what I need, and she started cutting.
And I must have zoned out for a few minutes because when I rally looked, I realized that she had cut about 6 inches off my (formerly) shoulder length hair. I really should have paid more attention when she said, "There might even be enough length left for a pony tail." (There isn't.)
In truth, I love the cut and it's the different thing that I needed. Now I'm just worried that I'm going to have to go in all the time for hair cuts. (I also got new makeup and--fingers crossed--I might have finally found a good lipstick.)

Pictures please. And I think your hair totally rocked in your Christmas Card picture. If I could get my hair to grow out and look good long, I'd take that any day! But I bet you look pretty sassy with your shorter new do!
I can't wait to see you! I've already decided to grow my hair back out and will be in awkward-growing-out-hair-itis for at least a year. What new makeup did you buy?
