Preschool
Elsa is moving up to preschool next week. She goes to a fairly large, comprehensive daycare, so it really is just a matter of transferring to another class and teacher. Something I love about her daycare is that they spend 6 weeks or so transitioning kids to the next class. She's been visiting off and on for quite a while now, so when the move is permanent, she'll hardly notice that she's made a change. (I love this. Frankly, a lot of education could be improved by this kind of transition.) I dropped her off on Monday at the preschool and it brought tears to my eyes. (This was the first time I went to preschool.) My first baby is getting so big. It's all this circle time, numbers, words, kid level chalk boards and show and tell. (Show and tell! Elsa is going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that. She will be limited to three sentences, which will be good for her. She's a talker.) Her new teacher keeps telling me that she's not worried about Elsa, and I'm not worried at all, either. But I can hardly believe how big my baby has gotten.
