It has been a busy fall here. The girls are growing and doing all kinds of fun things. Anna now has four teeth...and likes to use them. She easts most food, but doesn't hesitate to gag or spit food if there's something she doesn't like. She "talks" constantly and we call her Anna Motorboat for all the noise she makes. After weeks of scooting backwards, she started crawling for real about two days before Christmas. It went a little like this..."Hmm...I can go forward now. I think I'll check out that outlet, then pull a cord, check out the pets' water bowl and finish up by playing in my big sister's room with all her small toys. Catch me if you can, MOM!"
The big sister at our house hasn't had a less exciting fall. She went to her first birthday party, she loves school and always talks about what she is learning. "Oh, I forgot" is her favorite saying and response to EVERYTHING. She recently asked me what names we would have when we got done with the ones we've got. Huh? was my response. "I'm going to be Sally and Anna is going to be Heartsy." (Not sure where those names came from.) She's been sticking to it--on Christmas, she insisted that her grandparents call her Sally. She also has been practicing Spanish...she did well with gato, mamá, papá, hermana...but when I tried to get her to say "perro" she asked, "Can we just skip that one?"

Love the story about the names - meant to comment sooner but still crazy with Christmas at this house - headed to BB today for the Nielsen get together.
