Anna July 2013

Anna loves eating corn on the cob.

Get in the chair, Minnie.  It's time to eat.

Elsa stuffed the laundry basket full of toys to play with.

At her 15 month appointment (admittedly, a little late) Anna is 33.25 inches tall and 24 pounds, 13 ounces.  She is a chatty, busy girl.  She loves her baby dolls and has been taking good care of Minnie this week.  She puts her down for a nap on a pillow, covers her with a t-shirt as a blanket, picks her up and starts over.  I watched her do that for 20 minutes or so last week.  She doesn't really realize that she can play in her own room.  She goes straight to her sister's room and plays with her dollhouse.

When Elsa was littler, I didn't totally understand the point of cabinet locks and all other kinds of baby proofing.  With Anna, I totally get it.  For her, a closed cabinet is a door that needs to be opened.

Anna is always in the drawers.  Every morning, she gets out a toothbrush--any toothbrush she can find--and brushes her teeth.  The doctor said her teeth look good, so she must be doing well.  Anna's also a picky eater.  She doesn't simply refuse to eat something.  She puts it in her hand, sticks her arm straight out, grins at you, opens her hand and drops the food on the floor.  It's really quite a production.
