I had promised Elsa all summer that we could take the bus downtown one day and today was the day! We dropped Anna off at daycare, got our jackets and walked down the street to the bus stop. We got there early, so we had to wait a bit. Once the bus got there, the fun started.
The bus drops off near the downtown library, so we stopped in to check out some books. (And warm up....it was cold.) When we saw lots of people coming in, we decided to check out what was going on.
We went up the elevator to the top floor of the library--we loved getting to look out and see the courtyard--and then we went to a science demonstration. After a while, we were hungry, so we headed out to YiaYia's for some pizza and lemonade at the bar. Dessert was called for, so we went over to the ice cream shop and got a scoop. We sat in the Foundation Gardens to listen to the music while we ate our dessert. I loved the music, but Elsa got tired of it. She prevailed and we headed over to the Capitol. After that, it was home to rest. I'm sure we'll be riding the bus again soon.
