Funny Anna
We took the side off Anna's bed several weeks ago. Even though she gets in and out of it all the time during the day, she doesn't get out on her own if she's been sleeping. She stands up in the bed, reaches over the side, grabs the door handle, shakes the door and yells "Mommy! Mommy! Get up Mommy!" Or something like that. Or she yells for dad. Sometimes she yells for Elsa. It really depends on who she thinks is going to come in for her. But she never gets out of the bed on her own.

I love it! Declan would do the same thing! We worried when we transitioned him and bought that expensive retracting gate for the top of the stairs. And every morning he would wake up and call out "It's morning outside!" = our cue to come get him! Since then, neither Sarah nor Owen have ever caused us to use that damn $$$ gate either!
