I'm not sure where the year went. I, obviously, did not spend my time blogging. It has been a crazy busy year in school and I find that there are many days that I have to consciously remind myself that I am doing good work and that I believe in this. It has been hard. The girls are growing faster than I can believe and I wonder where my little babies went. I cleaned this morning WHILE THE GIRLS PLAYED AND I DID NOT NEED TO WATCH OVER THEM. I think that's the first time ever.
First off, we've had a great winter break. We've frosted cookies with friends, shopped for Christmas presents, seen the Christmas tree at the Capitol, gone to church for Christmas, opened presents, played with new toys, taken naps...I took Elsa and Grandma Marlene for their first manicures, Grandpa Sheppard took Elsa to see the movie Annie, Elsa spent the night with Grandma Carol and Grandpa Wes. We were supposed to go to a New Year's Party with friends, but they got sick, so I've been working on getting some party food done for just us.

| At the Student of Character assembly. I was so proud that it still brings tears to my eyes. |
 |
| A crazy outfit....that it not nearly as crazy as Anna has been wearing. |
 |
| There she is...in her sunglasses. Anna got up one morning, went into the bathroom and the first thing she said to me, "Oh, my eyes. I need my sun glasses." Which is why the sunglasses were in the bathroom at all. |

| At the State Capitol Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve. No one was there but us. The girls wore their Christmas finery all that day, slept in their dresses and didn't take them off until nap time on Christmas Eve. |

| Anna's OTHER favorite dress. And the boots she picked out herself. |
