Addie is spending the day with us, so I've given the three girls challenges throughout the day to keep them busy. They're doing a good job so far! Some of their tasks have been....
1. Cut up broccoli.
2. Cut up fruit. (Addie got bonus points for telling Elsa to point the sharp end of the knife away from her. Elsa got bonus points for remembering to use the strawberry tops for strawberry water.)
3. Pick tomatoes.
4. Shoot 10 baskets.
5. Skip to the end of the driveway and back.
6. Find a recipe for broccoli salad in the St. John's cookbook. Compare recipes. Predict what they will taste like. Halve a recipe. Double it.
7. Create a challenge for your cousin. (Addie made Elsa put on as many shirts as she could. Elsa made Addie find a recipe in the St. John's cookbook that Elsa would like to eat that Addie could make at our house.)
PS. The cousin challenge was SOOOO fun. It made the day go so fast for all of us, but we were worn out by the end. It was chilly, so we spent the end of the day in the indoor pool at LAC (Addie got bonus points for being able to do a handstand in the pool). The only blip in the day was that Addie won the challenge and part of the prize for being a winner was being allowed to trade someone else for their prize. Addie traded and got the Pez dispenser that Elsa REALLY WANTED, so there were some tears.
