2007 ended pretty quietly here for us in south Lincoln. I invited Derek's brother and sister-in-law over for snacks and games. They brought along Derek's niece, Addie. I love Addie--she's chatty and an extrovert, which are pretty fun characteristics in a two-and-a-half year old. But what I really love is that Addie loves her uncle Derek and the feeling is mutual. When story time came, Addie didn't even entertain the thought that someone other than unlce Derek would read her a story. They went back to the guest bedroom, where I've put an old rocker and footstool. The footstool was a milking stool about 100 years ago. Well...uncle Derek sat in the rocking chair and Addie sat on the footstool. Her comment was "It's just my size." It was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.
P.S. There are pictures.
P.P.S. No, I still haven't figured out how to put pictures on the blog using Derek's computer.
P.P.P.S. In the whole "New Year's Resolution" thing, I'm trying to decide whether I should improve my PC skills or learn about wireless routers so I can hook the Mac up to the internet.
