The TV

I'm home this morning waiting for the satellite guy to come by and fix whatever is wrong with the TV. It's got to be a pretty major issue because Derek couldn't fix it, and he fixes everything. (Poor guy--married to someone who thinks that "fixing" and "opening the yellow pages" are synonyms.) We bought a digital antenna a few months ago "just in case" and last night seemed like a great time to use it. We live in a tree covered neighborhood and getting a signal required contortions that looked a little like modern dance. The antenna ended up in a weird position on the floor, where Baxter thought it looked a lot like an amazing new cat toy.

Please, Mr. TV guy, get here soon. I've got to go to work and I'm just a tiny bit addicted to my DVR.

Ditto on the tv problems. Last night Hastings switched to digital signals 20 minutes before the ONE show I watch came on. After getting the digital converter box working, I learned that the same thing that blocks my cell reception, also blocks digital tv reception. CBS is now the only channel I have. Remember that old joke, "Come on over and watch my CHANNEL with me." Not so funny now.
