Elsa's dad

Elsa's dad--known in a former life as my husband Derek--is my hero. I would not have made it through the last few weeks without him. He gets babies. He lives in the moment in such a way that he copes with whatever is going on in a calm, cool, collected way that is not my nature. I have always wanted to be calm, cool and collected, but that will probably not happen for me in this lifetime. I am a worrier and a fretter, I am always planning ahead and I stress over things that do not deserve my time. Elsa is lucky to have Derek as her dad and I feel pretty smart for having married him.
