Spring Break, again

I do not now how to type. I do OK on the computer, since errors are easy to correct, but typewriters kill me. I am just young enough that I have never had to type a paper on a typewriter, but I'm old enough that I had to fill in quite a few job applications on a typewriter. When I was first a teacher, applications HAD TO BE TYPED, but there not a lot of typewriters around. My dad (who does know how to type) was one of the few people I knew who had a good, working typewriter and I think I spent a week in his office typing job applications (as I said, I type SLOOOWLY). Through the years, I've used computers for many things, but I was never able to fill out a form and that seemed stupid.
I was never able to fill out a form until yesterday, that is. I was at the University filling out some forms for my PhD that were supposed to be filed two years ago. (In the last two years I did get married and have a baby, so PhD forms went really low on my list of things to do.) So I'm making a renewed effort at my degree and I'm filling in some forms for the bureaucracy. Two years ago, I was able to type in the form on my computer, but I had to print it right away because the form didn't allow me to save. Yesterday I was able to type in the form and that almost makes up for the two extra classes I'm going to have to take due to filing the form late.

Yesterday's other Spring Break accomplishments were getting to the gym and trying a new crockpot recipe. It was OK, but not great. I'm losing some excitement for my new cook book. We really need to eat a slam dunk recipe here pretty soon.
Today I got some of Elsa's baby book worked on and I'm trying to back up my laptop. It seems like it should be so easy to back up a computer, but I just can't get this to work. Luckily, my laptop is my work computer and the tech at work will help me with this.

I know that I am supposed to be writing about my Spring Break, but I couldn't resist sharing a few pictures of Elsa.
