Leo

When I'm on vacation from school, I take the girls to daycare.  I enjoy getting a chance to connect with their teachers, who both finish their work day before I get there in the afternoon.  Most days, I talk quite a bit with Elsa's teacher.  Dana has big kids of her own and teaches the little ones.  Since I'm the exact opposite, it is fun to compare notes with her.

So when we were sitting on the couch at home yesterday morning and Elsa said told me about Leo messing up the classroom, my first thought was, "I'm so sad that Dana has a really naughty kid in class.  He sounds a little like some of the kids I teach."  And then time passed.  And I thought about this week.  And I remembered that St. Patrick's Day is on Sunday and that this week's theme is leprechauns and green.  And that Leo is NOT a naughty kid but rather the leprechaun who is visiting their class (and most importantly) that that meant than when Elsa said that she needed to take green food to school that it was likely true and NOT WISHFUL THINKING.  I checked the calendar and saw that she did need food. After I suggested taking celery, peppers or lettuce (and Elsa said no to all those things), we whipped out green frosted graham crackers in record time.

Leo, I hope you got your share.  Don't mess up the classroom too much.
